Mr. Maurice Frank Mizzi is a substantial shareholder in the companies that make up the Mizzi Organisation. Educated at St. Aloysius College, he later attended University where he obtained a diploma of Legal Procurator. In 1957 he joined the family business and was initially responsible for the setting up and development of Mizzi Ltd.(now Zanussi Centre). In 1975 he became CEO for Continental Cars Ltd. Handling Volkswagen, SEAT, Audi and Porsche cars. Later he became Managing Director of Car Assembly where he was instrumental in doubling production with the same number of employees. At that time, he was also appointed Chairman of the then parastatal company - Mediterranean Film Studios. During 1997/98, he was appointed Chairman of the Malta Development Corporation and from 1997 until 2000 he was also a director of Maltacom plc (now GO plc).
In 1994 Mr. Mizzi also became Managing Director of Titan International Ltd, the engineering arm of Mizzi Organisation.
During 2002 and 2003, Mr. Mizzi was Chairman of the European Arab Chambers of Commerce.
At the present time, Mr. Mizzi is the President of Mizzi Organisation as well as Chairman of Ozone Ltd, the Association of New Car Importers and President of the Maltese-Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Maurice Mizzi has been Consul General of Iceland for the past 30 years.
