Ian Mizzi is a Director and family member of the Mizzi Organisation, a family owned organisation with a history that spans almost 100 years. Ian Mizzi joined the family business in 1982 after having graduated from Luther College in the USA. He later obtained his MBA with Distinction from ESC Grenoble, France. Between 1982 and 1997 he was responsible for the management of the General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd. local bottlers of Coca-Cola and associated products. He is currently a Director on the Board of the Mizzi Organisation and Managing Director of Industrial Motors Ltd and Nissan Motors Limited, distributors and dealers of Suzuki; Mitsubishi and Nissan cars respectively.
Mr. Mizzi together with Mr. Maurice Mizzi and Mr. Reno Calleja founded the Maltese – Chinese Chamber of Commerce in 2011 and remains an active council member. He has held various posts on the councils of The Malta Federation of Industries; Malta Trade Fair Corporation; MEPA User’s Committee; Malta Association of Family Enterprises (MAFE). He has been appointed as Overseas Advisor for Liaoning Provincial Pacific Economic Cooperation Committee in the People’s Republic of China.
Between 2008 to 2013 Mr. Mizzi served as Non-Resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco.
Mr. Mizzi is married to Jacqueline and has three children.
